2026 Parent Choice Report

AISNT has undertaken a comprehensive survey of parents of students attending Northern Territory Independent Schools to better understand how families make decisions about schooling and what they value in their child’s educational environment.

The survey explores when and how parents choose a school, the factors that shape confidence in that choice, and the expectations families hold once enrolled. These insights strengthen the ability of Independent Schools to attract and retain students by aligning school practices with parent priorities, improving communication, and supporting long‑term relationships between families and schools.
