‘The Online Formative Assessment Initiative will improve student learning by assisting teachers to efficiently and effectively identify where students are in their learning, make informed decisions about what to do next, and monitor learning progress over time’.
Education Services Australia (ESA); the Australian Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting Authority (ACARA); and the Australian Institute for Teaching and School Leadership (AITSL) were contracted to provide services to the discovery phase of the initiative.
At the end of 2019, the National Literacy and Numeracy Learning Progressions (NLNLPS) were updated. These form the basis of the new Online Formative Assessment Initiative.
