At the Good Shepherd Lutheran College we seek to help our students achieve academic success to the best of their ability and to help them discover and exploit their talents. We also strive to develop them spiritually so they can live a full and happy life.
The College has two campuses. The Primary School (Transition to Year Five) is located on the Palmerston Campus on the corner of Temple Terrace and Emery Avenue – Gray. The Middle School (Year Six to Year Nine) and Senior School (Year Ten to Year Twelve) are located on the Howard Springs Campus on Whitewood Road.
The College is incorporated as the Good Shepherd Lutheran College NT Inc, and is managed under the auspices of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, (Palmerston) congregation. Good Shepherd Lutheran Church is a member congregation of the parish of the Top End Lutheran Church, which is itself part of the Lutheran Church of Australia.
At Good Shepherd, there is a focus on the individual child and we recognise that developing every student’s individual talents as well as nurturing their emotional and spiritual growth is vital to the development of the whole person. Students are encouraged to become independent learners and this occurs in an environment that supports students to take risks and to extend themselves in a culture that values the experience as well as the outcome.
The College is currently implementing the International Baccalaureate Primary and Middle Years Program, with NTCET and VET programs available in the Senior School.
