Northern Territory Block Grant Authority (NTBGA)
The Australian Government provides funds to the Non-Government Sector to help schools undertake capital works.
The Northern Territory Block Grant Authority (NTBGA) administers the following programs:
- Australian Government Capital Grants Program
- Building Education Revolution
- Digital Education Revolution
Capital Grants Program for Non-Government Schools
Australian Government grants for capital expenditure for non-government schools are provided under the Non-Government Component of the Capital Grants Program.
Australian Government Capital Grants are supplementary to funds provided by the Territory Government and school authorities which have the primary responsibility for providing, maintaining and upgrading school facilities. The Australian Government seeks to improve educational outcomes by assisting in the provision of school facilities.
Building Education Revolution (BER)
The Building the Education Revolution (BER) is an initiative that is part of the Federal Government’s economic stimulus package. Each of Australia’s 9 540 schools will be able to access part of this stimulus package, which aims to fund schools in building and upgrading facilities and will also be available for broader community use.
Digital Education Revolution (DER)
The aim of the Digital Education Revolution (DER) is to contribute to a sustainable and meaningful change to teaching and learning in Australian schools that will prepare students for further education, training and to live and work in a digital world. Through the DER, the Government is providing $2.2 billion over the next six years.
