Vocational Education and Training in Schools (VETiS)
VETiS is an education initiative for secondary school students based on partnerships between industry and education. The VETiS Program gives students the opportunity to try a profession while still at school.
Participants of the program learn skills in a particular industry at school or through a local registered training provider, and can complete a number of work placements during the year. Many of the skills acquired will be useful for a wide range of careers and work options.
Students who undertake the VETiS Program should do so as part of their broad general education program that combines the Northern Territory Certificate of Education (NTCE) with all, or part, of a nationally recognised VET qualification.
